Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to fulfill its responsibilities, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergency situations.
Thus, over the non-working days related to the holiday, according to the calls received by the "112" hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue operations were carried out by the relevant agencies of the Ministry on 373 fire accidents, 30 cases of helplessness. As a result of the taken quick and urgent measures, the fires were extinguished operatively and people's lives were saved.
In total, over these days, 40 people, including 17 children were rescued by MES forces, 3 people were injured, and a person was poisoned by smoke. As well, during the rescue operations, the bodies of 2 people were discovered and handed over appropriately.
