Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to fulfill its responsibilities, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergency situations.

Thus, over the past day, according to the calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue operations were carried out by the relevant agencies of the Ministry on 37 fire accidents, 5 cases of helplessness and 2 traffic accidents. As a result of the taken quick and urgent measures, the fires were extinguished operatively and people's lives were saved.

In total, over the past day, 8 people, including 1 minor, as well as 1 person trapped in a deformed vehicle as a result of a collision between a "KamAZ" model truck and a "MAN" model truck in Sangachal settlement of Garadagh district were rescued by MES forces. 6 people were evacuated to a safe area during the fire. Also, the bodies of 2 people stuck in a traffic accident in Boradigah village of Masalli district were removed and handed over to the relevant authorities.
