Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to fulfill its responsibilities, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergency situations.

Thus, over the past day, according to the calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue operations were carried out by the relevant agencies of the Ministry on 106 fire accidents, 5 cases of helplessness and 1 traffic accident. As a result of the taken quick and urgent measures, the fires were extinguished operatively and people's lives were saved.

In total, over the past day, 4 people, including 1 minor were rescued, 50 people were evacuated to a safe area during the fire and the bodies of 3 people, including 1 minor were removed and handed over to the authorities during the rescue operations by MES forces.
