Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to fulfill its responsibilities, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergency situations. 

Thus, over the past day, according to the calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue operations were carried out by the relevant agencies of the Ministry on 54 fire accidents, 1 explosion, 3 cases of helplessness and 1 traffic accident. As the result of the taken quick and urgent measures the fires were extinguished operatively and people's lives were saved.

In total, over the past day, 3 people were rescued by MES forces. The body of the driver, Safarov Ilgar Alikishi ( born in 1964), who was trapped in the deformed vehicle as a result of the overturning of the "Shacman" model truck in Shamakhi district was removed and handed over to the relevant authorities. 1 person was injured during the fire.

Also, as a result of an explosion in a five-story residential building in Khirdalan city, 4 people were injured and the residents of the building were evacuated.​
