Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to fulfill its responsibilities, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergency situations.
Thus, over the past day, according to the calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue operations were carried out by the relevant agencies of the Ministry on 51 fire accidents and 4 cases of helplessness. As the result of the taken quick and urgent measures the fires were extinguished operatively and people's lives were saved.
In total, over the past day, 3 people, including a minor were rescued by MES forces. 3 people who were lost in a mountainous and forested area near the Nohurgishlag village of Gabala district were evacuated to a safe area.
Also, a diving-and-search team was involved in the search of 1 person, who is believed to have drowned in the sea, in an uncontrolled area, in Garadagh district.
