Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to fulfill its responsibilities, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergency situations.

Thus, over the past day, according to the calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue operations were carried out by the relevant agencies of the Ministry on 101 fire accidents and 7 cases of helplessness. As the result of the taken quick and urgent measures the fires were extinguished operatively and people's lives were saved.

In total, over the past day, 9 people were rescued by MES forces. As well as, 2 people who were in danger of drowning while swimming in the territory of the "Mardakan" water rescue station were rescued as a result of the quick intervention of the divers-and-rescuers. Also, on 27.06.2022, the body of Amirov Ravan Zakir (born in 1995), who drowned in the part of the Samur-Absheron canal passing through the territory of Hajihuseynli village of Guba district, was found by the diving-and-search group of the State Service for Control over Small-Sized Vessels and Water Rescue and handed over to the relevant authorities.
