Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to fulfill its responsibilities, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergency situations.
Thus, over the past day, according to the calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue operations were carried out by the relevant agencies of the Ministry on 32 fire accidents, 5 cases of helplessness, 1 suicide attempt and 1 traffic accident. As the result of the taken quick and urgent measures the fires were extinguished operatively and people's lives were saved.
In total, over the past day, 10 people, including 5 minors, as well as 1 person who tried to commit suicide by climbing the window of a residential building in Nasimi district of Baku and 1 person trapped in a vehicle deformed as a result of the overturning of a “Scania” model trailer truck on the roadside in Garadagh district of Baku were rescued by MES forces.
