Delegation deputy minister of emergency situations Ragim Latifov at the head participated in the European Forum on Disaster Risk Reduction
On November 21-23, 2018 delegation deputy minister of emergency situations Ragim Latifov at the head participated in the European Forum on Disaster Risk Reduction organize by UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR) Office in Rome, Italy. High level delegations from the member countries participated in the Forum.
The main goals of the Forum were to review and assess the works performed by the member states according to the Sendai Framework, to exchange the practice gained through the regional and national strategies and plans on disaster risk reduction and to discuss the mechanisms for the implementation of the framework paper on disaster risk reduction for 2015-2030.
A meeting with UNISDR's Regional Coordinator for Europe Paola Albrito was also held. During the meeting information about the disaster reduction in Azerbaijan and National Strategy was provided and views were exchanged about the mutually interesting issues.
