Brief information about the coverage area
Sumgayıt Regional Center covers Sumqayıt city, Khyzy and Absheron districts and located in Sumgayıt city, It is in the North-west of Absheron district & on the Caspian Sea shore.
Area - 3727, 27 km2
Population - 581, 396.
Located in a seismically active zone it has areas risky with landslides and overflows. Explosions and fires, destructions of buildings and facilities, transport and other accidents inherent to other cities of the Republic are also common in areas covered by Sumgayıt RC.
